On behalf of our partner, a company with activities on the construction sector, we are looking for a Senior Buyer. The main purpose of this role is to organize and guarantee the correct and constant supply of materials and services to the most favorable conditions of the market, in compliance with predetermined quality standards and timing required by the company’s processes and activities.

This role is reporting directly to the General Manager.

MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

• Management of the procurement negotiations for carrying out productive and commercial activities; coordination of the purchasing activities and preparation of the Procurement Operative plan, the Department Cost Budget and the Standard Costs;
• Management and coordination of internal procurement and purchasing activities to ensure that information is communicated effectively with relevant colleagues;
• Definition of the operative plan for negotiations and purchases, ensuring the procurement of materials and services at the best economic conditions, respecting times, quantities and defined quality specifications;
• Compliance with guidelines and communication with the Central Purchasing Office about strategic activities. Sharing with the Central Purchasing Office of strategic supply plans;
• Efficient organization of purchases, research and qualification of reliable suppliers in terms of quality, price and punctual deliveries; carrying out negotiations for the purchases of product and services; making proposals aimed at identifying areas for improvement, including the quality of processes, materials and services;
• Finalizing and completing purchase orders, bid requests, purchase contracts (drafting, insertion into the informatic system, control and report) with the suppliers;
• Carrying out supply market analysis with the aim of seeking new supply opportunities of goods and services; analysis and monitoring of prices and market evolution of industrial goods and packs, updating of the list prices of materials and transport costs;
• Coordinating the management of non-compliant goods and/or services (technical and commercial);
• Management of activities linked to the projects of new finished/traded products, coordinating with Product Managers, Researchers, HQ Purchasing Office, Operations, etc.;
• Coordinating and approving the assignment of orders to suppliers in correspondence with the requests for the supply received by the production manager and/or planners;
• Analyzing the compliance with budget limits by checking the actual cost performance compared to standard costs;
• Provision of the necessary documentation for purchasing activities in compliance with the tax, customs and civil law rules relating to supply contracts;
• Carrying out visits and audits at suppliers' plants and warehouses to verify compliance and reliability of the supply conditions.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

• Bachelor's Degree (AEI/TEI);
• At least five (5) years of previous experience in a similar role;
• Very good knowledge of MS Office; knowledge of an ERP is strongly desired;
• Excellent knowledge of English. Knowledge of an additional foreign language will be considered an asset.
